Festi Data Privacy Pop-Up Notification

Problem

Festi is a social reservation system application in which users can create group reservations and split the costs together. How do we cultivate greater trust between users and the application?

Insight

A study from KMPG found that nearly all U.S. consumers (97%) report that data privacy is a concern.

Approach

I performed a competitive analysis. I found that unlike similar social networks, Festi does not track your information. I wrote the copy for the  notification by collaborating with the CEO. Based on user testing, I found that the content should appear early in the user journey to reduce anxiety.

Solution

The enthusiastic notification highlights how privacy is of utmost importance. The notification appears directly after registration. The tone is optimistic, ensuring that a friend will create plans with the user soon.
